Wilfried Zaha’s future is always in the spotlight.

This week the Ivorian was quoted saying he ‘wanted to play Champions League football,’ which sent the rumour mill into a frenzy suggesting he wants to move in the summer.

Dortmund, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have been rumoured admirers of the 26-year-old and Palace manager Roy Hodgson has had his say on the matter after Zaha got on the scoresheet in their 3-2 win at Arsenal.

“I suppose how many players would say ‘I don’t want to play Champions League football?’” he said.

“I think he’s a good player but the bottom line is he’s a Crystal Palace player.

“He’s happy here.

“That wasn’t the performance(against Arsenal) of a guy trying to get away from the club, quite the reverse.

“He’s got a four-year contract with us, he’s adored by all the fans in South East London, so I’m looking forward to working with him for many years to come.

“But life throws things up so we’ll see what happen, but I don’t place as much importance on those stories.”
