Neil Harris expected Brentford to be like ‘Brazil’ against his side at The Den.

With little to play for the Lions boss expected Thomas Frank's men to produce the free-flowing football they've earned a reputation for playing.

A Lee Gregory strike and a superb Josh Da Silva shared the points, a result Harris deemed a fair reflection, despite being up against ten men for the best part of an hour.

“I thought Brentford could come and be like Brazil today," Harris said.

"When you got quality players playing with no pressure it is a tough team to play against.

“It was a tough game at home today for us.”

Brentford had a Henrik Dalsgaard sent off in the first half and Harris voiced his frustration that his side did not execute the amount of chances they created.

“When you play 55 minutes against ten men, you are frustrated not to win the game.”

“My only frustration today is our lack of creativity in the final third. The amount of times we go there against ten must be off the richter scale. Brentford got a fifth, a sixth of areas that we got into but where better in those areas.

“It is a balance for me as an ex-center forward to have balls in the box, but you have to anticipate it and I would say that my attacking players did not anticipate the balls in the box very well today.”

Being the early kick-off, the Lions fate is still in the balance as they could be in the relegation zone come this afternoon.

“How good of a point that is? We will know a little bit more in an hour and half’s time and certainly more on the 5th May.”

Ben Thompson was on the receiving end of the red card challenge and unfortunately for the Lions had to be substituted minutes after with an injury.

“At the moment with Ben we don’t know. It looks like a hamstring, so we will have to see how he is.”

“He has been our best player in the last couple of mouths so to lose him is a major blow.”
