Crystal Palace defeat may have been predicted by most, even the most optimistic of Eagles supporters, but the manner of their 3-1 defeat has left many supporters less than impressed.
Raheem Sterling’s brace sent Pep Guardiola’s men on their way before a Luka Milivojevic free-kick provided hope that Roy Hodgson’s side could salvage something from the game.
That hope was quashed moments later when Jesus finished off a rapid counter-attack to send the visitors top of the league.
In all truth, the scoreline flattered Palace who came alive after going two goals down.
Has Milivojevic’s exquisite free-kick offered Roy Hodgson a get out card?

No way im renewing my season ticket unless Hodgson goes, bored to tears of the insipid rubbish he serves up at home week after week. Literally 20 plus years unbroken support but i have absolutely no appetite for it anymore.. #cpfc

We are playing like a team who is just happy to be involved, bit like an opponent in a Harlem Globetrotters exhibition game. Absolutely pathetic and spineless.... #CPFC

Groundhog Day at #cpfc it doesn't matter if it's Huddersfield or the champions same old same old. Home tactics have been a disaster and Roy's still not prepared to stop flogging that dead horse.

Look forward to Roy's 'we didn't make it easy for them' BS again! City will have had few easier games. #cpfc

Imagine the shock when the tactics are to let Man City have the ball all game 😴😴😴 #CPFC

Roy Hodgson & #cpfc should be charged with bringing the game into disrepute here. Not trying a yard vs #mcfc

Granted it's City but we look like a team of Sunday league binmen. #cpfc

It’s been a miserable season at Selhurst, it really has. #cpfc

Yes, City are very good, but it’s yet another game where we’ve only started playing at 0-2 with twenty minutes to go.... 🙃 #CRYMCI #CPFC

Look at us giving it a go for a solid 5 minutes this afternoon!! #cpfc

That went entirely as expected yet again Palace show far too much respect to a top side and allow ourselves to be dominated can’t understand why we play like that now that we are safe #CPFC
