Charlton may be hoping some ‘bigger’ teams visit next season as they chase promotion, but no-one could’ve imagined Manchester City taking to The Valley turf so soon.

That’s exactly what happened in SE7 on Sunday however.

Pep Guardiola’s side, fresh from their 1-0 FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton on Saturday, took to the turf to use the League One promotion hopefuls’ facilities.

With a Champions League first-leg trip to Tottenham’s new stadium on Tuesday the side decided to stay in the capital instead of making the 400-mile round trip twice in four days.

Still fighting on three fronts with the League Cup already in the trophy cabinet, you can understand why Guardiola's team were reluctant in travelling to and from Manchester twice in quick succession.

Such is the form of both sides at the moment, it’d be hard picking a combined XI, Taylor or Aguero?
