Jonny Williams believes he’s becoming a better player under Lee Bowyer.
Williams, who has been used in the middle of the park as well as out wide in a front three, has yet to open his account for Charlton but believes it’s a matter of time before he gets off the mark.
Since leaving Crystal Palace in January to join the Addicks, the 25-year-old has featured in every game for Bowyer and believes the Charlton manager is adding to his game.
“My game’s improved under him for sure,” said the Welsh international.
“With more time I think he’ll get me closer to more goal scoring positions.
“I’ve been trying to get in better goal scoring opportunities.
"Whether I score or not, if it drops for me or not, I’m in and around it.
"That’s what he’s been helping me with in the last two or three weeks.
“I should’ve had an assist against Portsmouth but it was blocked on the line by our own player which was unfortunate.
“He gives me the belief on the ball that I can create chances and effect the game with my ability, passing, and tempo.
“I’m happy and I know goals and assists will come.”
