Millwall’s Mahlon Romeo is being lined up for a move away from The Den.

Both West Ham and Rangers are thought to be readying a summer bid for the attack minded right-back.

Romeo, 23, has impressed over the last three seasons in both League One and the Championship and reports are that the Irons and the Scottish giants are prepared to offer the Westminster-born man top-flight football.

Should the right-back move to the Olympic Stadium it would surely be greeted with hostility amongst the Millwall faithful.

The Hammers are thought to be looking for a long-term replacement for Pablo Zabaleta and could potentially use the out of favour Sam Byram in the deal.

The 12-cap Antigua and Barbuda international has played over 100 games for Millwall including 35 times this time out as he's cemented himself as the first choice right back.

Steven Gerrard’s Rangers meanwhile are conceding that they may lose their own right back and captain James Tavernier, 27, and are preparing for his departure with Brighton and West Brom looking at the former Wigan man.

Romeo signed for Millwall in 2015, moving from Gillingham after coming through the Arsenal academy.
