Crystal Palace’s Martin Kelly has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until June 2021 and Eagles fans are all of the same opinion.

The 27-year-old defender has been at the club since his £1.8million move from Liverpool in 2014 and has played over 100 games in the blue and red scoring once.

Speaking of the contract extension Kelly said:

“I’ve loved every minute.

“Watching in the first couple of seasons the people in front of me, I've learnt a lot from them. When the chance has come for me, I've enjoyed playing with some top-class defenders.

“As a centre-half, the experience is coming now. I've been given chance over the past couple of seasons to play there and I feel like each game I'm learning.

“Being part of a squad that's remained in the Premier League since I came, that's been a real challenge.”

Adored by the fans for his ‘no-nonsense’ defending Kelly has been a bit-part player this season, deputising across the back-line for the favoured Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Mamadou Sakho, James Tomkins and Patrick van Aanholt.

Palace fans were all in unison with their thoughts of the signing:
