Following Crystal Palace’s 2-0 victory at Doncaster people were left talking about one thing.
The game itself may not live long in the memory but fans, not just that of Palace or Doncaster, were left talking about one thing in particular.
Jeffrey Schlupp and Max Meyer strikes put the Eagles in to the hat for the quarter final draw in a tie that they never looked like losing.
Roy Hodgson’s men never got out of second gear at the Keepmoat Stadium as they showed their class against a game Donny side.
The Support
The travelling 3,000 Eagles were in fine voice for 90 minutes, something that was not lost on manager Hodgson.
"We owe an amazing debt to our fans,” he said.
“I don't know how they got there with the train problems, I thought we were playing at home for large periods of the game.
“We owe them a great debt of gratitude and we hope we can reward them by winning our quarter-final."

Captain Luka Milivojevic also took time to pay tribute to the following support.
“I must say, a big thanks to the fans,” said the Serbian.
"Many of them came to give us support and we as players and as a club are so proud to have them behind us.
"If we can repeat something of what we did a few years ago and play in a final, that would be great, but let's go step by step.”
Best Fans in England?
Social media was a buzz talking up the electric atmosphere the relentless chanting and singing the visitors fired up.
So where do the Eagles’ support stand in regards to the best fans in England?
Looking through my timeline it's clear that, as a result of the game being live on BBC1, there are many stunned at how effective the Palace support is.

I can’t emphasise enough how absolutely magnificent the #cpfc support was today. Before and during the match, in the concourse at HT, absolutely brilliant. Really hope it came across on TV

Most unlike of #cpfc not to have put me through the ringer watching on the telly. The most impressive performance by far though was the palace fans, who were all you could hear throughout the coverage. 👏👏👏

Everyone’s rattled by our support 😂 it’s beautiful to see #cpfc

Doncaster fans applauded our support today. That’s how loud we were.

90 minutes. No silence. The concourse at half time was insane.
Best in England. No argument. #CPFC
Went Donny game today for a change, and fuck me, you might call em cringe but #CPFC fans were best away fans I’ve ever seen. Absolute class.

Spoke to so many palace fans today and I can safely say they are the nicest group of people I’ve met. All #CPFC aren’t we

One other mention from the game was that of Jeffrey Schlupp.
In recent weeks the former Leicester man has settle din a role in the centre of the park, and he’s made it his own.
Often a figure that divides opinion it seems the man who opened the scoring on Sunday is winning over his critics.
Each team needs a true box to box midfielder who is also a goal threat from open play. Schlupp may not be the most technically gifted footballer but he ticks those boxes for me. #cpfc

Let’s not take anything away from Schlupp for that goal yesterday - if it was wilf or Meyer etc we’d be going potty about it. It was brilliant. #cpfc

Really pleased for Jeffrey Schlupp gets a lot of unfair criticism but has dug in and is quietly winning over the fans with his performances and goals #CPFC pic.twitter.com/kuuQNiaekQ

Luka was epic for us today. Some other great performances too.
— GazBod (@gazbod) February 17, 2019
But Schlupp.......time to consider him a key player I think. He's clinical when he gets up a head of steam. #CPFC
