Millwall’s Ryan Leonard expects changes to the Lions’ line-up with five games in a fortnight starting with Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday evening.

Neil Harris’ men go in to the game in 20th position and four points above the relegation zone ahead of their busy schedule and Leonard believes the squad as a whole will be tested.

On the back of their 1-0 defeat at Swansea on Saturday, Millwall sandwich an FA Cup fifth round tie at AFC Wimbledon between crucial ties with the Owls, Derby, Preston and Hull.

“We need everyone to stay fresh and to be ready to go,” said Leonard.

"The gaffer has reiterated that the squad is going to be needed in the next few weeks and obviously we've got a lot of games coming up.

"We have got to try and put things right against Sheffield Wednesday now at The Den. It’s always nice to have another game come around just as quick, so we can try and put things right.

"There are a few difficult away trips on Tuesday nights, which is part and parcel of the game, that is probably our fault for doing so well in the FA Cup.”

One-man Leonard thinks will be a boost the line-up would be Tom Elliott who's expected to be back in contention for selection.

The striker has not played since dislocating his shoulder against Blackburn on January 12.

“He’s been a miss. He gives another dimension to the way we play.

“We can play it up to him and off him, but we can also get it down and give it to feet.

"I’m sure he’ll be back fighting for the next few games whenever he is fit.”

Another mooted change is giving Fred Onyedinma and Ryan Tunnicliffe a chance against 16th place Sheffield Wednesday.

Onyedinma has yet to feature for Harris since he returned from his loan at Wycombe, while Tunnicliffe has been kept out of the side by Shaun Williams since starring for the Lions in their FA Cup win over Everton.
