Karlan Grant is in demand.

An injury time penalty in the fiery 1-0 win over Accrington Stanley on Saturday saw his stock rise further and more clubs have been linked with the forward.

The Greenwich born 21-year-old has scored 14 goals this season and is at the forefront of Lee Bowyer’s quest for automatic promotion.

Latest Sky Sports reports are that there’s interest from Huddersfield, West Bromwich Albion, Middlesbrough, Brentford and Millwall in the striker, with each club willing to pay up to £2million for the academy graduate.

Grant has six-months left on his current deal and negotiations are on-going regarding extending his stay with the Addicks.

Rangers registered an interest earlier in the window but such has been Grant’s form over the last month interest from England’s top tier clubs have materialised.

Bowyer said last week: “We are trying to get him to stay and we’ll have to see where that goes.

“Clubs are going to be looking to take our players and a big club like Rangers is obviously a compliment to us.

“We haven’t had any approach from Rangers and we are aware of their interest. It’s a compliment to the football club and to Karlan."

Charlton travel to Peterborough this weekend without Grant’s fellow striker Lyle Taylor who will begin the first of his three match suspension following his dismissal in the Accrington Stanley win.

Needless to say news of any sale was not warmly welcome with the Addicks faitful.
