Oliver Burke and Jack Payne have been identified as targets for Neil Harris’ Millwall.

There’s no secret that Millwall are keen to strengthen in the transfer window and getting a deal for either player would be seen as a huge coup.

Oliver Burke

Burke, 21, signed for West Brom in the summer of 2017 for a fee of £14 million but the Scottish winger seems to have lost form and fallen down the pecking order at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies paid the handsome fee to RB Leipzig for the former Nottingham Forest man and wouldn’t want to see a valuable asset leave cheaply so would rather him get some first team action on loan, something The Lions would provide.

There are a number of suitors for Burke however, with Celtic and Nottingham Forest both known to be keen to take the five-cap international on.

Scoring six goals in 31 appearances for Forest when he burst on to the scene in the 2015 season, it’s thought that Burke would favour a move to the City Ground due to him producing his most successful spell in his short career to date there.

Jack Payne

Bradford’s on-loan playmaker Payne, 24, has been impressing in League One this season with eight goals and four assists to his name in the first half of the Bantam’s campaign.

Huddersfield, his parent club, are thought to be open to offers of around £500,000 which even for Millwall is feasible.

Payne’s contribution to Bradford’s recent up-turn in form have caught Harris’ eye and with his contract up at The Terriers in the summer a cut-price deal could be the perfect outcome for both clubs.
