Millwall’s attacking options will be limited for Tuesdays visit of Birmingham City.

Both Steve Morison and Tom Elliott look likely to be sidle-lined with hamstring injuries whilst Tom Bradshaw was a known long-term absentee.

Morison didn’t make the matchday squad for the 1-1 draw with Bolton at the weekend, whilst Elliott limped off in the first half.

“Morison was a hamstring, he did it earlier in the week, and Tom felt his hamstring as well," said Millwall manager Neil Harris.

"For Wednesday they are very unlikely.”

Aiden O’Brien was utilised as a striker against Bolton and Harris may be forced to use the Irishman there again.

“We didn’t have that opportunity ability to play that long ball to threaten Bolton, so we had to find another way.

“Aiden came on and showed what he’s all about. He’s not a Tom Elliot, a Steve Morison, or a Tom Bradshaw, he’s a clever player, plays between lines. Maybe he’s a little rusty playing further up the park, but that will come with game time.”

Character

Harris was buoyed by the character his side showed in coming from behind to get a point. Jake Cooper’s late goal gave the Lions the win they ‘deserved’ but it was the manner in which his side responded which pleased the Millwall manager.

“For a team labelled as a long ball team, direct. We showed some real quality, passing, movement, chances created, the areas we got in to were first class.

“To show character to come from behind and get a point is important,”

Harris gave no time-frame for the return of club-captain Morison or Elliott but conceded they are both likely to return in time for the visit of Garry Monk’s Birmingham City.
