Millwall beat Ipswich 3-0 at The Den to secure back-to-back wins.

Lee Gregory opened the scoring on 26 minutes when he got on the end of a Shaun William’s corner to smash home.

The Striker then scored another early in the second half as Ryan Leonard’s long throw found Cooper who flicked into the pathway of Gregory who got in front of his man and flicked it in.

Leonard was at the thick of it again when Ipswich keeper punched the ball into his path 25 yards out. The midfielder took advantage of the goal being unprotected and chipped it in the back of the net.

Here is how News Shopper rated Millwall’s players

Ben Amos – 6 – A quiet day in front of goal for the ex-Charlton stopper, Ipswich did not have a shot on target.

Shaun Hutchinson – 6 – After an anxious beginning at both ends of the field, the defender rediscovered his composure and had a solid game.

Jake Cooper – 7 – A concrete performance from the former Reading defender and was a huge offensive threat with him nearly grabbing his second goal of the season in the first half.

Murray Wallace – 6 – Slotted in comfortably at left-back and linked up well with Ferguson down the left flank. Overall a convincing performance.

Mahlon Romeo – 6 – Linked up well with Leonard and Williams down the right-hand side. Defensively sound after shaky couple of games.

Shane Ferguson – 6 – Compared to recent form, it was a quiet day for the winger. Tracked back well to cover Wallace and also completed a number of crosses.

Ryan Leonard – 7 – The man can tackle, pass, throw and we found out today that he can shoot. His Volley whiskered the post in the first half and his audacious lob found the back of the net in the second.

Shaun Williams – 7 – Was at the centre of everything for the Lions, his movement inside the Ipswich’s half meant that he was always the transitioning player for Millwall.

Jiri Skalak – 5 – His set piece deliveries caused problems, but was unable to gain a foot in the game.

Tom Elliot – 5 – Won the majority of battles between himself and the Ipswich centre backs but failed to get a shot away at goal.

Lee Gregory – 9 –A man who can do no wrong at the minute. Was a fox in the box for the opening goal and his flick for the second will leave even the likes of Neymar to be taking notes.
