James McArthur has hinted Crystal Palace’s fortunes might turn around during a tough November run after Crystal Palace fell to a third consecutive defeat at Everton.

Luka Milivojevic’s missed penalty proved crucial as substitutes Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored twice in as many minutes.

Losing to Bournemouth, Wolves, and now Everton, mean Palace have dropped to 15th in the Premier League with just seven points from their opening nine games.

And opportunities to put wins on the board could not be tougher – with Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, and Manchester United all to come next month.

But McArthur insists the team knows things must improve sooner rather than later.

The 31-year-old said: “Goals change games but we win or lose as a team. We are just disappointed that we have conceded the goals.

“It is football, we need to bounce back and we have got difficult games coming up. We need to do our best to make the results better.

“We feel in that changing room that we should be doing better.

“We have obviously got tough games coming up. We know it is going to be tough but sometimes we bounce back when no one expects us to.”

Roy Hodgson’s men are now level with West Ham United on both points and goal difference following the defeat at Goodison Park.
