ALAN Pardew has urged his chairman Richard Murray and Palace counterpart Simon Jordan to call a halt to their bitter feud ahead of Saturday's big derby at Selhurst Park.
The pair fell out in spectacular style after an exchange of words following Palace's relegation on the last day of the season at The Valley two years ago.
Relations deteriorated even further after Iain Dowie's controversial switch to SE7 and subsequent court case, but now Pardew is looking for both men to move on.
The Addicks boss, who played for both clubs, said: "I was playing for Palace when Charlton were lodging at the place and knew there was some bad feeling there from the Charlton fans.
"It is a funny kind of relationship we've had over the years.
"Personally, I want to detach myself from it because I've a love for both clubs.
"I just hope it is a good game and it runs smoothly for everybody travelling to and watching it, and the two chairmen shake hands and are civil to each other because life is too short in my view."
