Charlton caretaker boss Lee Bowyer says his side did not deserve to lose against Sunderland today.
Lynden Gooch’s 96th-minute header condemned Charlton to a 2-1 defeat after Lyle Taylor had given the Addicks a 10th-minute lead.
Bowyer said: “We dominated the first-half and were the better side. They matched us up in the second-half and I thought that was good.
“We dropped a bit deep at times and couldn't get out. They pinned us in. Once they got the first, the crowd was going so yeah.
“The second goal was a great cross and the fella came around the back, fair enough it was a good goal. But the first goal shouldn't have happened.
“They're all good players, they're good at different things. That’s why you have a squad and I think everyone did well.
“They gave me 100 per cent and enjoyed the game, this is what it’s about.
“They did that but unfortunately football is a cruel game at times and they didn't deserve to lose today.”
