Lee Bowyer wants Charlton to be “patient” in the transfer window.
The Addicks have added Lyle Taylor and Darren Pratley to their ranks on free transfers.
And Bowyer says the club is still looking to sign more players.
Speaking after Charlton’s 2-1 pre-season win over Dulwich Hamlet, he said: “We’ve just got to be patient. The two that have come in are very good signings.
“We don't need much. I’ve said this before, we’re probably a couple pieces short of a good puzzle.

“We have to hand pick now and choose carefully who we want because we want specific players.
“There’s no point bringing in players that aren't as good or better than the players we’ve got already.
“It would just waste money. So that’s what we’re doing and we’re trying to process that.”
