Besiktas are interested in signing Christian Benteke, according to the player’s agent.

The Crystal Palace striker is believed to be surplus to requirements at Selhurst Park after scoring just three goals last season.

Benteke, who was left out of Belgium’s World Cup squad, has been wanted by Chinese Super League clubs in the past.

And Turkish club Besiktas are his latest admirers.

“I know Besiktas are interested in Benteke,” his agent Eris Kismet said.

“I know Fikret Orman (Besiktas president) in person, he’s a great guy and he has told me he is interested in Benteke.

“But his price may be out of range. What I can say is that Crystal Palace won’t sell him for under 20 million euros.

“A loan? well that could be possible but contrary to reports I have not been contacted about one.”
