Crystal Palace are locked in a four-way battle to sign West Brom striker Jay Rodriguez, according to reports.

The Eagles, West Ham, Bournemouth and Burnley are all trying to land the former Southampton man, who scored 11 goals last season.

The 28-year-old is expected to leave the Hawthorns after just one season following the Baggies’ relegation to the Championship.

He was their standout performer in a dreadful campaign under three different managers.

Rodriguez, who has been capped by England, joined West Brom in a £12m deal last summer - and the club is reluctant to let him go on the cheap.

Sky Sports says Palace would have to cough up a fee in excess of £20m to have any hope of signing him.

The Eagles are in the market for strikers after Christian Benteke netted just three times last term. The Belgian frontman lost his place in the team towards the end of the season.
