Millwall legend Jimmy Abdou has joined fourth-tier French club Martigues.
The midfielder, 33, was released by the Lions at the end of the season after making 342 appearances during a 10-year spell.
He is set to have a testimonial at the Den before the start of the new campaign.
Abdou was instrumental in two of Millwall’s promotions to the Championship in 2011 and 2017.
After penning a one-year deal with the Lions last summer, he was shipped out on loan to AFC Wimbledon and played 39 times, helping the League One outfit avoid relegation.
Now, he rejoins Martigues, the club where he started his playing career in 2002.
Good luck to #Millwall legend Jimmy Abdou who has signed for French club @FCMARTIGUES
