Stephy Mavididi will be sidelined for eight weeks with a hamstring injury.

The 19-year-old attacker has scored two goals in five games during his second spell at the Valley.

While it’s a major blow to lose Mavididi, Charlton boss Karl Robinson has strength in depth.

Here are four viable players to replace Mavididi against Doncaster tomorrow…

Ben Reeves

Reeves was an unused substitute in the defeat to Oxford United last weekend after losing his place to the fit-again Tariqe Fosu.

He has been poor in Charlton’s previous two league games at the Valley against Gillingham and Walsall.

However, his best displays in an Addicks shirt have come away from home. He was excellent in the 2-0 loss at Blackburn and ran the show against Bury.

Doncaster, who haven’t won since December, could present another chance for Reeves to shine.

Sullay Kaikai

Kaikai is a proven performer in League One after scoring 12 league goals in 26 games for Shrewsbury.

He came on for the last 20 minutes against Oxford but didn’t see too much of the ball. That will surely change in the forthcoming weeks.

The Crystal Palace loanee would be a straight swap for Mavididi playing on the left.

The only concern could be his fitness, he’s only played five times this season.

Michal Zyro

Similarly to Kaikai, Zyro’s playing time has been restricted in the 2017/18 campaign. He’s featured just three times since injuring his knee in 2016.

The versatile forward played as a right winger on his Addicks debut and had pace to burn.

He has Championship experience and could star in League One.

Nicky Ajose

Ajose is the most unlikely candidate out of the four to replace Mavididi, but he’s still a solid option.

He returned to first-team training on Thursday after recovering from a minor groin strain.

When asked about his attacking options in his pre-match press conference, Robinson said Magennis could play on the left. The Northern Ireland forward has played in that position against Blackburn and Wigan this season.

And if it happens again tomorrow, then Ajose could be the starting striker at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Charlton’s predicted starting XI to face Doncaster: Amos, Solly, Bauer, Konsa, Dasilva, Kashi, Forster-Caskey, Marshall, Reeves, Fosu, Magennis.
