An own-goal 17 minutes from time and Lee Gregory strike just three minutes later were enough to give Millwall consecutive away wins for the first time this season.

Jordan Archer – 7 – Got away with one early on as Jon Dadi Bodvarsson closed-down his heavy touch, but the ball landed to safety. Fine save to deny Barrow just after the break and was dealt with everything else confidently.

Conor McLaughlin - 7 – Came close to giving Millwall a lead, but his volley was saved by Mannone. Booked for blocking Mo Barrow, but was good defensively apart from that moment. Struggled against Barrow’s pace and was replaced by Romeo.

Shaun Hutchinson - 7 – Another great defensive display. Reading rarely tested him and when they did, he dealt with it with ease.

Jake Cooper - 7 – Great return to his former club. Could have had a goal and assist, but somehow avoided either.

James Meredith - 7 – Neck on the line as he always does. Proper Millwall player.

Jed Wallace - 8 – Much better performance than that against Derby. His decision making was much better in the final-third was excellent and created two or three good chances for his teammates.

Shaun Williams – 7 - Passing could have been better, but made several crucial interventions to break-up play.

George Saville – 6 – Much like the last few weeks, he was sloppy. Poor touches, misplaced passes and didn’t have any sort of influence in the game.

Fred Onyedinma – 8 – One of his best ever games in a Millwall shirt. Fine early run to create a chance for Gregory and was generally a handful for most of the game. Almost scored his first league goal of the season but was denied by Mannone from close-range. Man of the match.

Steve Morison - 7 – Superb in the air and played a fine pass to set Gregory away for Millwall’s second.

Lee Gregory – 8 – Had a few early chances, prodding over from one Wallace cross and thought he had given Millwall the lead but his effort was chalked off for offside after Cooper’s header found him. Work-rate was superb as always, not giving the Reading defence a moments peace. Kept his cool to double The Lions lead on 73 minutes.
