Fiorentina striker Khouma Babacar’s agent has met with Crystal Palace chiefs to discuss a move to the Premier League strugglers in January.

The Eagles are bottom, six points from safety and have only one fit number nine in Christian Benteke.

Palace want to bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window and Babacar would add much-needed depth to their frontline.

Babacar, 24, has scored twice for Fiorentina this season but is not a regular starter.

He could get more first-team opportunities at Selhurst Park as Roy Hodgson’s side look to avoid the drop.

Italian news outlet Viola News reports Babacar is keen on a move to a London club.

Palace have been interested in the Senegal international before and nearly signed him last summer.
