Ben Reeves’ agent will be at the Valley to watch Charlton’s final pre-season game against Ipswich today, News Shopper understands.
The Addicks made a “firm” offer for the midfielder in May after his contract ran out at MK Dons.
Reeves, who is also attracting interest from Sheffield United, has been chased by the Addicks throughout the summer.
And a deal to bring the former Southampton man to Charlton could be edging closer with his agent currently in SE7.

Addicks boss Karl Robinson is a big admirer of Reeves after bringing the playmaker to MK Dons in 2013.
It is understood that Reeves was holding out for a Championship move, however, nothing has materialised in recent weeks.
The 25-year-old has been one of League One’s best midfielders in recent years.
