Bury have signed Charlton striker Nicky Ajose on a season-long loan.
Ajose joined the Addicks for an undisclosed fee last summer, having scored 25 goals in 40 appearances for Swindon in the season before.
But the former Manchester United trainee failed to hit those heights in SE7 and was loaned back to the Robins in January.
MORE: 'Tony Watt will come good for Charlton this season'
He is behind Josh Magennis, Tony Watt and Lee Novak in the pecking order at the Valley.
Charlton boss Karl Robinson said: “Nicky came in and worked hard in pre-season.
“I sat down with him and he said this was something he wanted, so I told him I wasn’t going to stand in his way.”
Ajose, 25, replaces James Vaughan, who left Bury to join Sunderland in a £900,000 deal on Thursday.
