Former Charlton loanee Simon Makienok is unlikely to return to England as talks over his future continue.
The Dane is expected to leave Palermo this summer after his agent admitted the search is on to find a new suitor.
And News Shopper has been told several foreign clubs have expressed an interest in the 25-year-old, who spent this season in SE7.
Makienok failed to build on a promising start to the campaign and scored just five goals in his 37 appearances for the Addicks.
The Denmark international is currently in talks with Palermo over his future but it is believed the Serie A side are looking to offload the forward.
With a return to England unlikely, other foreign clubs have already made approaches for Makienok and a summer switch could suit both parties.
