Charlton chief executive Katrien Meire says she is thrilled with the appointment of Steve Head as he club’s new Chief Scout.
The 52-year-old has decades of experience and comes to SE7 with high recommendations.
Charlton CEO Meire said: “We are thrilled that someone of Steve’s calibre has agreed to join Charlton.
“He has a fantastic CV and knows the British game very well.
“We are working on pulling together a squad that can withstand the challenges of a long season in League One and Steve will play a very important role in that.”
Head worked as an U18s coach at Southampton for over 10 years before enjoying spells at Fulham, as their Head of Opposition Scouting, and Reading.
Most recently he had been working for Wolverhampton Wanderers as a Senior International Scout.
