Conor McAleny has returned to Everton today after Charlton Athletic cut short the forward's loan deal.
The highly-rated 23-year-old joined the Addicks on loan on September 14, in a deal which was supposed to see him attached to the club until November 7.
However, interim head coach Karel Fraeye revealed in his press conference today that McAleny has returned to the Toffees.
When asked whether the Charlton dressing room is fragile following their wretched run, the Belgian said: “They are not down, everyone was very disappointed [after the last two results] but we know the only way is to look forward and work hard and the players are willing to do that.
“If players don’t want to do it I’m not going to use them.
“In that case we ended the contract of Conor McAleny today so it needed to give an example.”
McAleny made nine appearances for the Addicks.
