Burnley 1 v 1 Crystal Palace

Coca-Cola Championship

AFTER back-to-back wins, Peter Taylor was pleased with a point at Turf Moor.

Clinton Morrison had given Palace a 15th-minute lead before Ade Akinbiyi equalised before half-time.

Palace had a couple of chances to win the game late on with Morrison and Tom Soares going close.

Taylor said: "I thought we finished the game well.

"At times we didn't play enough football, but in the last 25 minutes we did after Ben Watson came on and it helped us play a bit more through midfield and more of a threat.

"We had some good chances in the end with Scowy's header and Tom's shot, so I was pleased with that.

"Burnley away is a difficult match, they have hard strikers to play against and it was a hard pitch to play on too.

"I'm pleased with a point from the game."

However, Taylor was disappointed with the goal conceded, after warning his players of Akinbiyi's prowess in the build-up to the game.

He said: "It was a good finish by Akinbiyi and he's a good player and he looked a good player today.

"But I'll have to look at the video because it was a disappointing goal for us to give him a free header there unless he's worked incredibly hard for the space."

He added: "He always seems to score against me too.

"They are a handful up front and not easy to play against."
