Yoni Buyens could be in line to start Charlton’s fixture against Blackpool with Johnnie Jackson yet to recover from injury.

Jackson lasted only 15 minutes of the 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest but Buyens remained on the bench.

Bob Peeters believes his compatriot is now closer to full fitness, however, and with his captain unavailable Buyens could replace him in Saturday’s starting line up.

“Yoni Buyens is back into full training,” Peeters said.

“He was on the bench already on Saturday (at Forest) but we were a bit cautious with him because he didn’t train that much. Now he’s trained a whole week so he’s going to be available for the game on Saturday.

“(Stephen) Henderson is getting better.

“Rhoys Wiggins is running on the treadmill so he’s getting better, and Franck Moussa is also on the way up so hopefully in a few weeks everybody will be back into full fitness.

“Johnnie Jackson’s not gonna be available. We will assess him next week.”

Blackpool, who last week at home to Birmingham won their first match since the appointment of Lee Clark as manager, are eight points from safety.
