I WOULD like to point our councillors' noses to a very small problem the gents' public toilets in Orpington.
Their design, lack of cleanliness and resulting smell is unbelievable for one of the richest boroughs in London.
From one end of town to the other, without exception, toilets at Orpington ponds, library, Walnuts shopping centre, the car park at the war memorial and Locks Bottom must be the worst in the country.
Where do our councillors go when they are caught short?
Don't they have eyes and a sense of smell?
They should visit Lewisham, a borough much maligned by Orpington folk, where the public convenience in Lewisham centre is beautifully equipped, odour-free and so clean you could eat off the floor.
