FOLLOWING K Raju's letter regarding the work GPs do (GPs Work Hard To Provide Good Service For Us, May 17), my GP is Dr Barbara Lewis of Pope Road Surgery, Bromley Common, and anyone who is one of Dr Lewis's patients is very fortunate indeed.
In my opinion, she earns every penny of her salary whatever it may be.
My family and I have been with Dr Lewis for 27 years and we have been treated with kindness and consideration as I am sure all of her patients are.
I remember on one occasion Dr Lewis called me on a Sunday to tell me she had made an appointment for me with a consultant in the area to save me going to a west London hospital.
How many doctors would do this?
This is just one of many instances Dr Lewis has helped my family over the years.
GPs are worth every penny.
