NOW we have returned to a Tory council maybe it will look at the road budget and explain to us council tax payers why it allows for the perpetual resurfacing of the borough's roads, often for no apparent reason, and the proliferation of traffic-calming measures which usually do more harm than good.
Maybe it will conclude there could be less roadworks and spend the money elsewhere.
Better still, they could cut council tax.
