ARE the poor motorists in this country ever going to get a fair deal from nasty parking wardens and wheel clampers, employed by money- grabbing councils, eager to extort more and more money from people?
The council will inform you these so-called humans are employed to ease traffic congestion and keep traffic moving on our roads. But this is not true, they issue tickets and clamp vehicles for petty reasons.
I could list dozens of instances after reading letters published in News Shopper where motorists have been fined by these greedy councils, treating motorists with their cowboy antics where a warning would be enough.
To list just a few: motorist fined for parking two wheels on the kerb, obviously to allow any emergency vehicles through quickly; disabled motorist fined for displaying their badge upside down and motorist fined for parking over his mother-in-law's dropped kerb in a cul-de-sac.
Can anyone please inform me which of the above caused traffic congestion?
Now is the time for the 63 councillors in this borough to get off their backsides and do something about motorists being ripped off.
