IN REGARD to the article about the A2 in Gravesend (News Shopper, February 22) this, like all roads, is safe.
It is the idiots that use them who are the problem. Those who are late for work are the worst.
Until these people are educated in the correct way to drive, you will always have accidents.
An easy answer, as used on blackspot roads in Devon and Dorset, is to have chevrons painted in the road.
These help keep drivers at the correct distance away from the car in front.
With cameras monitoring the traffic, those who tailgate are caught on camera.
