ALONG the street where I live there is dog mess and since I live in a cul-de-sac the offending dogs must live in our road.
Mine is the only house where dogs have not fouled outside on the footpath. I don't have a gate to shut them out so they foul on the grass.
I own a dog so I am not anti but I object to having to pick up after someone else's pooch.
Because dogs were fouling in my own garden I kept a vigil and followed one of the offenders right to its own home.
I tackled the owner and was told "because we are having works done he keeps escaping". I later discovered this was not the case.
I have made several complaints to the council only to discover it can do nothing.
If there is anyone out there who has beaten this problem perhaps they will let us know how.
To those who allow it, perhaps they will do something now it has been highlighted.
