With reference to Lesley Hastings's letter of February 1, may I suggest she gets her facts right before expounding about parking in her road.
Firstly, she should realise that as well as the nursing staff at the Princess Royal University Hospital, there are also numerous administration staff, without whom the hospital could not function.
The reason why staff have to park in neighbouring roads is because there are not enough spaces in the hospital car park to incorporate all staff and patients and, therefore, paying £15 a month, with no guarantee of parking, would not be prudent!
Should Lesley Hastings ever need to be admitted as a patient in the Princess Royal, let us hope her life does not depend on somebody being unable to park because of her or somebody else's unreasonable attitude.
This is yet another example of not in my back yard'.
