I would like to put things straight. I do support an extra Crossrail station at Woolwich, if possible. I have campaigned for this publicly in the past.
What I do not support is the campaign to have the station built at Woolwich instead of Abbey Wood!
As it stands right now, there is a proposed £20m centre for East Greenwich, Eltham, and £60m for Woolwich.
If you live in Plumstead, Abbey Wood, and Thamesmead, you get nothing but, we pay our council taxes as well! This is not fair on the residents of these areas.
Plumstead Leisure Centre is in danger of closing due to past neglect! Like I have already alluded to, we do pay our council taxes here also! Residents must get up and stand for their rights!
We can not get a direct bus link from Abbey Wood to North Greenwich, which does not help unemployment in this area. This is an issue for this area and I can not hear anyone shouting about it.
We must wait for the Waterfront Transit, until then, tough luck!
We must have neighbourhood residents making decisions for themselves instead of the town hall!
Also, performance related pay (PRP) will be for the chiefs and not the humble workforce - 'the Indians'. Our problem is, we have too many chiefs and not enough Indians.
A change must come!
