I AM in full agreement with Mr Dawe in respect to sending back one's medals (Pensioner Wants To Fight 2012 Tax, News Shopper, February 22).
Why should we pensioners pay any more tax for the 2012 Olympic Games?
We pay more than enough council tax to keep Ken Livingstone in luxury.
Let those who want the Games pay the extra money, and as Mr Dawe points out, some pensioners will not be around to see 2012.
As for Ken Livingstone, I am unable to find the words to describe him.
If I had my way, I would love to string him up but not by the neck.
I agree the money being spent on the Games would be better spent on our hospitals, schools and housing.
As far as I am concerned, this Government and Ken Livingstone should foot the bill out of their own pockets if they are so keen on the Olympics being held in London.
