I THOUGHT I would send a comment about the front page on the question of an ice rink (News Shopper, February 22).
Having driven past this eyesore which used to be the swimming pool, I feel we should now say to the council it has had long enough to decide what to do with the land.
Many residents seem to want an ice rink.
I would love to see a rink built as this may help to give young people inthis area something to do.
The arguments put forward so far such as lack of car parking spaces seem very weak when we had a swimming pool there for more than 25 years and the car park coped.
We do not need more expensive houses on this site. We need more sports facilities.
