NO VOTE: Who to vote for in the coming election, that's the question.

Labour is mostly pro-European and its record on taxes, hospitals, crime, transport and immigration is bad. As for the Tories, Michael Howard is a weak leader, saying he's going to get back powers from Brussels but intending to stay in the EU. And don't forget the Lib Dems, the most pro-European and dangerous of them all. If the Lib Dems had won the last election, we would all be under the Euro right now. They are also very soft on crime. So who are you going to vote for? In my opinion none of them.

WELL DONE: Greenwich was among the top 12 improvers nationally at Key Stage 2 from 2001-2004 so Greenwich primary schools have not done as badly as Councillor Poston suggests. Schools Standards Minister David Miliband also recognised this and formally congratulated Greenwich on its achievements over the past four years. In 2004 our Key Stage 2 improvement rate was 11 per cent compared with a national rate of three per cent. Sixteen Greenwich primary schools improved by more than 10 times the national average.

WE'RE NOT EUROPEAN: Your correspondent (Letters, January 12) incorrectly claims we are Europeans. We happen to live in an area of the globe which has been labelled Europe but there is no overall coherent cultural or ethnic association which constitutes us Europeans. Unless this person is an immigrant, he is likely to be an Anglo-Saxon if his origins are English or a Celt if his origins are in Scotland or Wales.

MADE TO PAY: I am very concerned as to why Londoners should be asked to pay for the Olympic Games. If the Games will make a profit, as some insist, then the solution is for the Government to put all the funds up front and claim this money back after the Games, leaving the profit for the IOC. This way the games will cost us nothing.

HARMLESS FUN: Regarding Prince Harry and the Swastika. I cannot understand the fuss, it was a fancy dress party. We all enjoyed 'Allo 'Allo! didn't we?
