A PAVELIN (Letters, January 12) incorrectly claims we are Europeans.

We happen to live in an area labelled Europe but there is no overall coherent cultural, ethnic, or tribal association which constitutes us as Europeans.

Unless he is an immigrant, he is likely to be an Anglo-Saxon, if his origins are English, or a Celt, if his origins are in Scotland or Wales.

Blair and Brown have Celtic origins, which partly explains their attack on the institutions, culture and finances of Middle England.

Shortly, money will flow south to resolve Africa's problems. The slogan prosperity for all should be greeted with extreme apprehension south of the border, as it spells doom for Middle England, who will be financing it.
