We read with interest recent reports Transport for London (TfL) has awarded Bexley Council £5m for road improvements.
However, we have heard no mention of the bridges over the A2 in Arbuthnot Lane and Bourne Road, Bexley.
For more than a year these bridges have been lined with heavy concrete blocks which obstruct and narrow the roads.
We understand these were installed because TfL believe the bridge railings are not strong enough to prevent a car going through them and onto the A2.
Arbuthnot Lane has witnessed several fatal accidents in recent years and we are amazed a vehicle has not hit these blocks yet.
They make visibility of oncoming traffic even worse than before.
Bexley Council and/or TfL have to remedy the current situation.
