Who are the people Mr Pavelin says deny they are European (News Shopper, January 12)?
I read all your published letters and I do not recall any. I have no doubt we are European. I think he is confusing opposition to rule by an unelected and corrupt European Commission with some kind of xenophobia.
The aim of the UK Independence Party is to obtain an amicable divorce from the European Union (not Europe), a return to the trade arrangement (which is what we were told was going to happen in 1971) and the restoration of democratic self-government to Britain.
