Your correspondent (Letters, January 12) incorrectly claims we are Europeans.
We happen to live in an area of the globe labelled Europe but there is no overall coherent cultural, ethnic or tribal association which constitutes us Europeans.
Unless this person is an immigrant, he is likely to be Anglo-Saxon if his origins are English or a Celt if his origins are in Scotland or Wales.
In this age tribal war still rages. I gather Blair and Brown have Celtic origins, which partly explains their attack on the institutions, culture and finances of Middle England.
