In regard to the letter headed "blue rinse brigade", to the person who wrote it, how dare you talk about the elderly like that, calling someone an old duffer. You are very rude and also a coward as you were frightened to leave your name.
I don't which town you go into on a Saturday. I have been in Gravesend and all I have seen are mostly young people, not old people as you so rudely said were ‘clogging up the shops’.
If you don't like going to town at weekends, why don't you shop in the evenings - the supermarkets are open late.
Then get your tea and coffee in a pub, you unkind person.
You are as bad as News Shopper, making that the star letter.
