In reply to the ‘Pensioners Clog Up My Weekends’ star letter, was this published as some kind of joke? Does the author not realise they themselves will be older one day?
I agree it is sometimes inconvenient when the shops are crowded.
However, has he ever thought that maybe EVERYONE goes shopping too often.
There are many enough youths just ’hanging’ about the shopping areas with nothing better to do.
There are groups of people just ’window shopping’ then taking up hours in coffee shops ’relaxing’. Don’t just put down the older generation! Is his own ’shopping’ always necessary? He suggested a curfew! Pff! Who is he - the shopping police?
Was his name deliberately withheld from his published letter for a reason?
My name is Christina O’Reilly and I am brave enough to put my name to my letter.
