WHILE Labour supporters may find it useful to blame Bexley’s Conservative council for everything (Don’t Pass The Buck, Help Your Residents, News Shopper, December 17), the financial chaos this country is in is the result of 11 years of Labour Government.
Four years of a Labour council saw reserves raided and a 40 per cent council tax rise on top.
The concerns Joy Rouse raises about health services are actually managed by the NHS and Bexley Care Trust, not Bexley Council.
Believe me, if I had control over Bexley Care Trust we would not be seeing the removal of A&E at Queen Mary’s Hospital, which sadly is supported by both Labour and the Liberals.
This Labour Government is starving Bexley of cash. Grants which keep pace with inflation would be an improvement to where we are now.
