On Thursday, May 15, my nine-year-old son Martin lost his wallet. We were parked on level two of the Priory car park, in Dartford, and he placed it on the bonnet of the car as he went to look over the wall.

Unfortunately I had not noticed this and drove off.

The Power Ranger wallet contained his birthday money and although we rushed back at 9.30pm with a torch as soon as we realised what had happened, it was not there.

I can appreciate the person who found it must have thought it was Christmas as it had more than £50 in it.

However, I also presume it was an adult who took it and is used to having that amount of money, whereas my son only had it because it was his birthday.

I appeal to their good nature to return it and can only hope they do not think “finders keepers, losers weepers”, because my son has definitely been very upset by this incident.

He would be so very grateful if you would be kind enough to return his wallet so he can go and choose his birthday presents.

Please return it to 3 Hishcroft Cottages, London Road, Swanley. Alternatively, call 01322 668465 and we would be only too happy to collect it.
