RE: SUREWAY parking inspectors (Letters, May 21). Your correspondent would have had no problems had she been part of a local minicab firm, whose staff are allowed to park on the pavement, on double-yellow lines, and even half on the pavement and double yellow lines every single day.

The parking attendants arrive in their car to pounce on motorists who park in the restricted areas between 10am and 11am or in the car parks without tickets.

However, they seem to completely ignore these blatant breaches in parking regulations.

If these wardens were made to walk around all day, then perhaps they could do their job properly.

And as if to add insult to injury, the other Sunday a car was parked on the zebra crossing. When a police car with three constables inside approached, I pointed at the car, which the police car slowly overtook, then smiled and waved at me.
